About RMJ Ranch

My dad, Travis Justus, was born and raised in Hurley, Virginia. He grew up watching John Wayne and wanting to be a cowboy, with horses of his own. Years of hard work turned that childhood dream into the ranch our family knows today.

My parents, Travis Justus and Linda Brown, founded RMJ Ranch. Today, as its owner, I'm grateful for the chance to continue what they started. The ranch means a great deal to our family, both for the life it gives us and for everything it took to build it.

RMJ stands for Rylee, Myles, and Jayde. It brings my name together with those of my two brothers. Family means everything to us, and that includes the animals in our care. Each horse has a place here and a personality worth getting to know.

Caring for them as family means paying attention to the small things: a change in their mood, a little more confidence, or a moment when they need reassurance. We take the time to learn what works for each horse and give them room to develop at their own pace. Some days call for another step forward; others call for patience. Their health, comfort, and trust guide those decisions, from everyday handling to plans for their future.

This life with horses is a gift from my dad that I thank God for every day. Taking good care of what my parents built and of the animals who depend on us is a responsibility that means as much as the privilege of being here.
